Setup will allow you to adjust various settings applicable to the program's modules, such as Video Converter, Capture, DVD Ripper, and Slideshow.
To switch to the Setup mode, click "Setup" on the modes pane on the left of the program's window or select "Setup" on the popup list at the top of the program's window.
Video Converter settings
This group of settings provides additional options for configuring Video Converter.
No resize Video Converter will not change the original movie size.
Resize crop the original movie size will be cropped to fit the current screen size.
Resize preserving the aspect ratio the original movie size will be changed to fit the current screen size; the original movie ratio will be preserved.
Stretch to fit the original movie picture will be stretched to fit the current screen size.
To change the selection, simply click on the radio box by the desired option.
Screen width defines width of the slideshow movie screen. The value is set in pixels.
Screen height defines height of the slideshow movie screen. The value is set in pixels.
Frame rate number of frames exposed per second. The greater this value is, the greater will be the quality of your movie; however, that may also require a greater disk storage and greater computer performance.
To change the value, click on the edit box and type in a new value or click on the up or down arrow by the field until you see the desired value in the edit box.
Capture settings
This group of settings provides additional options for configuring the Capture feature.
Compress video enables or disables compressing video during the capture sessions.
Video compressor click on the select box and then choose a video compressor on the list that appears. Unavailable when "Compress video" is disabled.

Audio compressor click on the select box and then choose an audio compressor on the list that appears. Unavailable when "Compress video" is disabled.

DVD Ripper settings

Video Resize click on the select box and then choose the resize method on the list that appears.
iDct inverse discrete cosine transform (data compression method). Click on the select box and then choose the iDCT method on the list that appears.
Slideshow settings
This group of settings provides additional options for configuring Slideshow Maker.
Screen width defines width of the slideshow movie screen. The value is set in pixels.
Screen height defines height of the slideshow movie screen. The value is set in pixels.
Rotation period defines how quickly pictures in the slideshow must change. The value is set in seconds.
To change the value, click on the edit box and type in a new value or click on the up or down arrow by the field until you see the desired value in the edit box.
